I am a student of accounting and finance, I´m a big fan of doing outdoor activities, I love taking pictures although most of them I keep for myself. I like to know new places, help people, learn and share what I know. I live in Cali, but I want to show you a little of the place where I was born.
Buenaventura is more than a city full of inequality,
corruption and poverty. It is the most important seaport in Colombia, where we
find the most beautiful landscapes, the friendliest people, the most delicious
food and the most aphrodisiac fruits and drinks. Both in the city and its surroundings we can find true natural paradises.
One of my favorite places to visit is the Malecon Bahia de la Cruz, where we
can see beautiful sunsets, small crabs on the beach, taste delicious food from
the restaurants that are established there and what I like most is to have
interesting conversations With really kind people.
The malecon is
well known and tourists who come to the city enjoy their afternoons there.
Although sometimes the weather plays a trick, as you can see in the photograph
below that it is raining but everything was still beautiful.
A
place where you can enjoy a few hours of sun, sand and sea is La Barra, a beautiful beach as well as juanchaco, brickmakers or Piangüita. These beaches are equally
incredible and they are very close to Buenaventura.
A traditional
celebration in Buenaventura is Verbenas, these are popular festivals that begin
in different neighborhoods and include dances, artistic presentations and lots
of food. This
food is very typical of the Pacific coast, but in each place it is found with
variants.
Among
the traditional dances characteristic
of the verbenas are the currulao, the abozao, the caderona, etc. However, in the last celebration I
participated there were more current rhythms that can be enjoyed by everyone.
